Today I'll Be Your Nautical Girl

MusicPlaylist

A bajillion points if you caught the Beyonce reference in the title.  Boo-ya!  Anyway, moving on.  Today was nothing short of gorgeous in every sense of the word.

I got up not only right with my alarm, but even before with no remorse.  I was just ready to start the day.  Do you ever have those?  You get up and instantly you're like "Let's do this" and mean it?

I couldn't believe how much I got done and how smoothly the morning went.  My mom came over to make the kids pancakes.  I told them to get dressed before Nana comes over.  No argument.  No whining.  Just no problem.  Whaaaaaaaa?

I got to work early, which was good because I had a freakton of work to do today.  But that ish was going to have to wait.  Why?  Because, as I mentioned yesterday, I had an end of the year Mexican potluck for the Rocky Mountain Paralegal Association down in Denver.  I have never eaten so much in.  my.  life.  Sooooo good.

And my dish came out very good as well.  I was super impressed because I had never tried the recipe before.  The only downside?  I love to take my outfit photos downtown Denver when I go down there to mix it up a lil bit.  And I was super stoked today because I finally got my camera back from repair yesterday.  But . . .

I had left that "hook your camera to the tripod screw thingy" (I'm almost positive that is the technical term) at home on the other camera.  Bummer.  But ain't no thang.  I was able to grab it from home between picking up Kaden, dropping him off at baseball practice and going to pick up the other two kids.

Annnnnnnnnd helllllll yeeeeeessssss I was glad to take outfit photos again with my Canon.  I said got damn.  It was that good.

Nothing was going to go wrong today.  Even though I had a mound of work to do before the luncheon, once I got back and some waiting for me to finish tomorrow--no problem.

And the weather was absolutely gorgeous.  Not hot.  Not rainy.  Not cold.  Not windy.  Just sunshine, blue skies and loveliness all around.

And speaking of lovely, today I'm hooking up with Everybody Everywear for their Nautical challenge.  How could I not pull out the vintage sailor pants?  You better believe it buster.

  1. Those high-waisted pants are so fabulous, I love the buttons up the side! And I think it is so cute how you tied your chambray shirt, it adds a cute, playful side!
