Thursday Mixer--Cognac Leather Jacket

I bought this cognac leather bomber while I was pregnant.  I bought it in a small, which is my normal size, but I neglected to realize that while pregnant I was getting bigger in pretty much every way.  So while I did still wear it a lot, I wore it even more when I shrunk back down to my regular size.

I got the jacket on clearance for $15.  I've worn it on here 11 times.  That makes the price per wear $1.36.  Worth every penny.

Wordy Wednesday--Appreciation

I took the week off of work to hang out with my kids and Patrick.  It was an amazing decision.  I am looking forward to so many things--sleeping in past 5, having breakfast with my family, lounging around, getting some chores done, playing with our new puppy (yes, another one), having dinner before 8 at night.  And I am so full of love and appreciation for all of the fortune that we have in our lives--a warm and safe house, our health, food and laughter.  So this Wordy Wednesday is all about appreciation.

Make it Work Monday #30

This installment of Make it Work Monday is inspired by some of my favorite kinds of bloggers--bloggers that turn into actual friends.  While I still have never met these ladies in real life, we have become social media friends and I truly admire their love of vintage clothes and items and, more importantly, of family.  I really miss Two Birds' blog.  But I am glad that I get to keep up with what they're doing on social media.  So this one is for Megan and Nora (who is featured here).

Also, it may look like I'm checking out the booty of this lady in the painting.  But I'm not.

Mission #73, Day 5--Tulle Skirt and Sweatshirt

A tulle skirt is, in my opinion, is the easiest fancy piece to mix up.  In this case, I added a fun sweatshirt for a comfy but fancy look.  Of course, I had to finish it with (another) Prada bag, some ruffled socks and Mary Jane heels.

Also . . . IT'S CHRISTMAS!!!!  Merry Christmas everyone!

Mission #73, Day 4--Sweatpants and Heels

I LOVE Christmas.  And tonight my kiddos will be coming back, Santa's is coming and we have an extra special gift coming!!!

I plan on spending the next several days in sweatpants.  I hope you are too.  But if you want to spice it up, as with nearly any outfit, slap on some heels.  And if you're in Denver and want to drive down the prettiest street ever, in my opinion, hop on down to Larimer.  I love this street.

Mission #73, Day 3--Fur Coat and Jeans

This fur coat is Patrick's grandmother's and while I am always nervous of wearing real fur in public, I have always been ok with real fur that was given to me from a former time and a special person.  And I also happen to think that fur coats--real or faux--look AMAZING with jeans.
