Today's Fashion Challenge couldn't have come at a better time. Today is all about showcasing a new(er) piece. Luckily for me, I have been lusting over this cargo vest from Old Navy forevah-evah. Especially when I saw it on this girl:
I swear sometimes I think we were separated at birth. This girl will make you giggle till your sides hurt.
Anyway, I ordered this vest over a week ago and it just arrived in the mail last night. I could not be happier. I cannot wait to remix this vest all up and through the fall season.
So, I've talked before about people who just don't get my style. Today, it was not about my outfit, but my headbands. I swear I was called Olivia Newton-John about 45619 times today (hence, the song and title choice for today). Or I got the "didn't feel like doin' your hair, huh?" Um, actually I put a little more pizazz into the hair laziness today. Notice--I added an accessory in my hair. Jerk.
Anywhosie, I am beginning to fall in love with this little slice of heaven I found to take my pictures in. This is a little park on my way to work. I have gotten great shots with trees, lakes, gazebos and now flowers just from this sweet little spot.
It also helps that the sun showed its face again today. Here I have been longing for the fall, and just as predicted, the second it gets chilly, I start missing my sunshine. P to the S--let's take a moment to oh and aw over my pursed lips only a true hag could pull off below:
Pat's sister came over tonight with her mans and her kiddos. One of the greatest thing about being with Pat is definitely his family. I love to hang out with them and our kids are about the same age, so even in the frantic chaos, it is totally relaxing how they entertain themselves.
Did anyone else know that Jupiter is now in retrograde? I have only recently been tempted to research these phenomenon. Supposedly, this means that this is a time of introspection. It is a time for finding your inner peace and where emotions are most sensitive to coincidence and reason.
It is also a time for those who are really meant to be in your life either grow a stronger bond with you or resurface. I have been lucky enough to have such a great experience with this recently. I was so happy to be contacted coincidentally by several friends randomly reaching out to me. One, in particular, I am very happy to be reacquainted with. Bitch, you know who you are. I love you.

The vest rocks! Your headbands rock! And your comment to your friend, "Bitch, you know who you are" was freakin hilarious! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSo happy that you bought the vest. I am telling you, that you will have a hard time not wearing it with everything in your closet. Interesting stuff about Jupiter in retrograde. I need to now look into it.

Another wonderful outfit to wrap up Remix Week! I really love the maxi skirt paired with the heeled boots - I love that longer hemlines are sticking around for the fall season. That vest is also a wonderful touch over the stripped tee. Looks like you are ready for a fall afternoon. Super cute!

LOVE that cargo vest. I just thrifted a dark green dress that has a sort of military edge to it.
ReplyDeleteI'm always surprised reading bloggers who received so much public comment on their outfit choices. I've never received critical or anything more than a passing comment and those have been far between. Maybe people in my area just aren't that vocal.
Love love love that maxi skirt!! Great blog girly :)

LOL thanks Megan! Oh, the comments I receive from my bosses are all in jest. I don't ever get offended by them. They are just teasing me. I don't mind. In fact, it's kind of part of the daily ritual.
ReplyDeleteThank you Callie! I really appreciate that! I love maxi skirts and dresses. They are so comfy!
ReplyDeleteThanks Angie. I had seen it on the blogosphere for a long time and finally decided to pull the trigger. Yes, look into Jupiter. It's some wild shit.
ReplyDeleteLOL thank you so much! Yeah, I am pretty sure he enjoyed it.
ReplyDelete$7?!?!?!? OMG I feel your pain! Sorry to hear of your misfortune, but if you ever decide to give it another try, I would recommend it. This thing goes with everything in my closet.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cess. I could see how one could wear this everyday. For sure!
