Toes in the Sand (I WISH!!!)

Ok, so this is a major milestone in my style blogging.  This shots are taken by me out in public.  Yep, just me, my tripod and the wide open.  One great thing about Colorado is its infinite beauty.  There are so many gorgeous opportunities to get some really great shots.  So I just need to get over all my insecurities and just get myself out there and do it already!!!!

That was my attitude and I held it pretty well, until this shot when some random kayakers stopped right on the bank next to me and made me nervous.  One guy said "that'll be a good picture", which was nice, but I opted to quickly pack up and find somewhere a little more secluded.  It's all about baby steps.

All in all, a great experience for me personally.  I will definitely do this again.  :-)  Any tips on taking self portraits out in the open are greatly appreciated!  PS-I promise I will stop talking about this "big step" soon, but it really was something I was proud of.

  5. I think taking pictures by yourself is a huge deal! Congrats! I am pretty brave in public but I usually have Matt with me, so we can laugh if we get busted.
