Dinner Questions

Santa got a really cool gift for the kids.  It was the Family Dinner Box of Questions.

For our family, we take family dinner pretty seriously.  Not that we have fancy dinners or anything of that sort.  But we have certain rules.

We all sit at the table for dinner.  No TV is allowed on, no radio, no toys, no cell phones.

At first, I didn't think that the kids would like it too much.  But I was pleasantly surprised.

They really love it!  We've broken it out every dinner at the kids' request.  There are some really great questions in there too.

For example, tonight some of our questions were our favorite family summer vacation memories and describing our family in one word.

The point is this: we get the younger kids at the house 65% of the time.  My oldest is going to be a teenager this year.  So a little something to get the family talking is never a bad thing.  In fact, it's pretty fun.  And hilarious.  Kaden's one word to describe the family was embarrassing.  Apparently he finds his mom and younger siblings a little embarrassing.   Aw, youth.
