My younger son Conner is the trendiest kid I know. Where my oldest son and daughter's interests have remained pretty consistent through the years, it is Conner's hobbies and gift requests that fluctuate with what's "in" at the moment.
He goes through phases. He'll get all amped up about something--a toy, a sport, a game--and want TONS of it. He'll do extra chores to earn money to buy as much of said thing as he can and collect all of whatever it is.
That lasts for a few months and then he moves on to something else. He's gone through Bakugans, Beyblades, Pokemon, cup stacking, Silly Bands and a slew of other random things.
Currently he's into these rubberband bracelet things. The kids at school have kits and they make these friendship bracelet things to trade between them. If he'd had been a 90's kid, he'd have Pogs and trolls and Hypercolor shirts to last an eternity.
And this song always reminds me of whatever his new phase is:
Black Skinny Jeans-Kohl's; Mint Mesh Sweater-Target; Polka Dot Chambray Button Down-Kohl's; Tweed Flats-Target; Necklace-Charming Charlie's; Bracelet-vintage from Grandma; Sunnies-shop at mall
