Minty Fresh Jeans

Pssssst . . . Frannie!  Over here!  It's the mint jeans you have been obsessively searching for!  And I'm the perfect shade.  Just what you were looking for.'

Look, I love your minty goodness.  Really, I do.  And you're right, I have been searching high and low through internet, thrift stores, consignment shops and department stores for you.

Well then what's the problem?  Just take me home and make me all yours!  We can make pastel colored memories together forever!

I know.  I see the potential of what we could be together.  I know that you are just what I've been searching for all along.  But, I can't.  I just can't.  I am not supposed to be shopping until after my wedding.  I mean, I made an exception when I saved buku bucks on my bridesmaid dresses and on my birthday, but that's where I draw the line.

But it's clearly meant to be!  You know you've seen my counterparts all up and through those blogs you read.  You don't own nearly enough pastel.  You know this.  How could you reject me like this?

You make a good point mint jeans.  A very good point indeed.  In fact, I just remembered that Kohl's sent me a $10 gift card for my birthday.  And you are on sale for $24.99.  So you would, in fact, only be $15, wouldn't you?

 Right!  C'mon on.  You know you want to . . . .

Ok, you will be mine.  Wait . . . wait a minute!  Oh man!  You are not in my size!  *sniffle*

Frannie I would expect more from an experienced shopper as yourself.  Don't rely on those numbers on the hanger!  Look, here I am--a size 5 jean disguised cleverly by a size 11 hanger by some overly optimistic woman from last week who tried to disguise me so that some ill experienced browser would just pass me by.

Blast!  You are right!  This is fate!  And who am I to stand in the way of fate?

Moral of the story:  I am easily influenced by clothing.  And it actually does speak to me.  And it's only when I start conversing back with the jeans out loud that I get funny looks.  But this also helps to ward off any potential mint jean snatchers.  And my mint jeans and I shall live a life full of opportune destiny happily ever after.  The end.

  1. I love this outfit. The crochet is wonderful and the jeans, wow! I would love to be able to find colored jeans easily. It is so darn hard to find plus size clothes that are really cute.
Fate meant for you to have these jeans. They look great on you! (I don;t think I ever, ever wore a size 5!)
