Starbucks is a Necessary Evil

So, yesterday Patrick and I went to check out a venue for the wedding.  To those of you who have been through this, you may sympathize with me when I say--this may drive me to an early grave.

I know, it's so much fun and all--the planning, toying with colors, going over things with your fiance and family and friends and getting all excited.  But here's the thing . . .

I am a wedding planning virgin.  I have never been involved in planning a wedding with the exception of my sister's.  She was engaged and married within three weeks.  That's it.  Come to find out, there is a LOT involved.

Everything is such a process.  I mean, really.  From big important decisions like when and where the wedding will be to little minute details that you would never even think about off the cuff like escort cards and wedding favors.  And there are SO MANY questions involved.  What kind of exit do you want (bubbles or pom poms or petals)?  Where are you planning on getting your linens from?  Do you want a photographer and videographer?

Not only are there a lot of questions, but everyone, everyone has answers.  I am serious.  Everyone wants to let you know how you should get married.

Don't get me wrong, being engaged in and of itself has been a dream come true.  I still have not fully recovered from the nostalgia that Patrick is going to marry me (especially when last night, I looked over at him looking at me and he goes "I am one lucky guy, you know that?  Sometimes I just look at you and know that I must have done something right"--totally sweet and perfect, right?).  I loooooove the idea of putting my original ideas into the wedding of my dreams.  And I love how involved everyone has been and I love taking snipets of everyone's really original ideas.

HOWEVER, when Patrick had the grande (ha ha, get it?) idea to hit up the Bucks for a white chocolate mocha yesterday afternoon to wrap up the wedding circus stuff, I was more than happy to oblige.

That was until about 3 in the morning last night when I was still wide awake.  Take a tip from me.  Afternoon Starbucks + wedding excitement = zero sleep x Monday morning after four days off =half dead to the world 90% of the day.  It's simple math.  Just don't do it.  Bad combo.  I'm going to bed.

Guess What???

Do you all remember the $20 discount to eShakti's online store that I recently featured ( remember this dress?)?  Well the kind folks of eShakti have decided to extend your ability to take advantage of  the discount code ROBIN0811. So if you missed it the first time, here's your second chance!  This code is valid through December 31, 2011 so don't delay if you are interested.  Second chances don't always come around this easy!
