For instance, if someone would have told me on Saturday morning that I would end up staying up playing poker and Farkle with Patrick, my brother, his girlfriend, my cousin and her boyfriend until 2:30 in the morning, I would not have believed you. But we did. And it was the best time I have had in a looooong time. The only thing that was missing was my sister.
If you would have told me that during my daughter's birthday party, when the Tumblebus was parked out front of my house, I would (finally) end up meeting my neighbors and their kids (thanks for the push honey), I would have given you the "yeah right" eye roll. But we did and it was so fabulous.
If you would have told me that the "down time" between my daughter's birthday party yesterday and my son's birthday party today would consist of so much fantastic activities, I would have said "no way would I have time for that!" But it did. Like:
Jumping on the trampoline with my kids, cousin, her boyfriend and Kaden's friend. It was so much fun. And I learned that our trampoline can handle a lot of weight. A lot.
BBQing sliders with my brother for the five kids that were at our house all day. Yummy. And the smell of BBQ was so intoxicating.
Bowling at Conner's birthday party. I am not kidding you when I say that everyone beat me. Everyone. Including my five year old daughter. Yeah, it's not my strong suit. But it was so much fun!

fun, fun, fun! i totally wanted the tumblebus for my son's bday! i love these totally spontaneous and unexpected kinds of weekends. they turn out to be more exciting than planned ones! love the citrus colors here!
