Make Up Mercy Post

Friends, I am ashamed of myself.  I totally gave you a mercy post yesterday out of guilt of neglect.  Here we were making sweet, sweet fashiony love and I go and throw you a curve ball.  If anyone knows anything about mercy posts, they seldom come out well.  I am planning on making it up to all of you today.

First of all, I am so honored to say that I got my very first blogging award!!!!!!!!!  This is made even more awesome because it was given to me by one of my favoritest bloggers ever, the lovely Shasie of Live Life in Style.  So, this comes with a few responsibilities.  First I shall answer some questions that I understand have been burning in your mind.  Your welcome:

1) Name your favorite song:  Asking my favorite song is like asking me which of my children I like most.  I so adore music (and all kinds of music . . . except techno . . . that just annoys the eff out of me).  However, I have to say I am quite partial to some Linkin Park, Led Zepplin, Breaking Benjamin and Chevelle.

2) Name your favorite dessert:  I quite delight in a Heath Blizzard a la Dairy Queen.

3) What is pissing you off?  Let's not get me started.  This is not the time nor the place.  Trust.

4) What is your favorite pet?  Gotta go with dogs.  Pat's dog Nakita is pretty much the prettiest, coolest dog of all time.  See?  Ain't she adorable?  Shown here with my oldest son, Kaden.

5) What is your biggest fear? Ghosts, angels or anything after life.  For some reason, I just cannot take a ghost story.  My grandmother told me this story about when she was scared as a little girl, she would go hide in a closet, pray and stick her hand out for an angel to hold her hand.  She said one time, she felt her hand squeeze.  I swear to God, from that day forth, I never sleep with my hand out.  It is always under a pillow, blanket or somehow covered.  It's weird, I know.  I've tried to get over it.  By the way, don't ever talk to me about Paranormal Activity.  Forget that.

6) What is your best feature?  I'm gonna go with my cheekbones.  Thank you Native American genes!

7) What is your everyday attitude?  Be appreciative for what you have.  Also, I have pretty much made this song my religion.

8) What is perfection? Ending the day with a smile on your face, the laughter of my children and love of family.  Also, Patrick.  ;-)

9) Guilty pleasure: Jerseylicious. And blogging.

10) What is your favorite color:   Yellow!!!!!

11) When you're upset you: listen to angry music, freak out and yell a bit and then strategize on what I can change, what I can't change and how to move forward.

I am passing this blog award on to one of my favorite new blogs to read: The Hotness Your Momma Warned You About. This girl has amazing style and you are guaranteed to LOL your face off after visiting her blog. Say hi to Ziggie for me while you browse.

Another woopsie from lack of energy, sleep and an over exhaustion of the sun was forgetting to add a couple of photos from this weekend.  Don't worry, they are (mostly) fashion related.   My little sister always looks adorable, but she upped the ante on Sunday wearing this little number:

Doesn't she look adorable?????

Also, my brother.  My little brother is the least fashionable being that I know.  He is a music enthusiast and a hippie.  Clothes are the last thing he ever thinks of, so when he showed up for my Gramma's memorial wearing this:

I just had to get a picture because he has never looked so damn studly!!!!!!!!   I love him and he is the sweetest guy ever, but seriously folks, this needed to be documented.  Even the shoes!

And these people are the reason I was too busy having fun to blog this weekend:

  7. I love this dress! It's so nice to see sleeves on dresses, (which I feel as if I hardly ever see anymore!) and the accent color makes everything just so much more vivid.
