Today was interesting. I was, as usual, running around like a banshee all day, so needless to say, when I stopped for my usual lunch break photo op at, what I have begun to affectionately call "the weirdest things that have ever happened to me in Boulder have happened in this park", I was on a low time limit.
Of course, when you are on a low time limit, you often find some very interesting distractions. For instance, someone had taken the liberty of festively decorating the park with this little snowman. Isn't he cute? I named him Sam. Even more interesting, though, was my observation that this snowman was in between a set of tire tracks. In the snow. In the middle of the park. And Sam survived.
Also, while I was taking my pictures, I noticed a man on a bike, parked next to my camera. His name was Dwayne. Apparently, Dwayne is a squirrel affectionado. Dwayne like to take his time to let you know everything about squirrels and their habits. He even (and I am not kidding you), whistled to the squirrel and it came over to him.
Yesterday I promised you guys a great giveaway and here she is! Recently, the very lovely Brenda from Monroe & Main sent me over these adorable boots. Upon receiving their catalog, I could not get over their amazing boot collection! She has been kind enough to offer you lucky readers a chance to win a pair as well!
My honest review of these boots? They are smooth as silk to the touch and I love the button detail and versatility on wear of the boot. The buttons on top come undone and can change the boots to a different height. I've told you before, though, that I have wide feet. I think that these boots might have been intended for skinnier feet. Mine were a bit scrunched. Also, these boots are described as over the knee boots, but they only came up to my knee, which was kind of disappointing. All in all though, a lovely flat, tall, rich-colored boot that I can see pairing with some great skinny jeans, with shorter skirts in the spring and even have a few maxi skirts in mind.
Wanna know something cool? You could win a pair for yourselves! See the details below to enter but hurry, because entries expire next Thursday, December 15th at midnight.
