Happy New Year everyone! I am so stoked for 2014 though I have to say 2013 was pretty good to me (though not without its challenges). It's Day 3 of Mission Week and today I'm sporting double the sparklies--this fun tunic and these fun glittery heels!
The ultrasound yesterday went perfectly. It is always one of the most exciting milestones in your pregnancy. And we managed to keep the gender a secret! Woo hoo! The baby was being so adorbs. At one point, it was playing with its feet with its little hands. I can't wait to meet him/her. What wasn't quite as adorable, though, was when the ultrasound tech first started looking around and he goes "so, is this your first set of twins?" Cute. Real cute.
And we got a minivan! It is actually pretty stellar. I dig it. Our salesman was super nice. AND we learned that he is what is called a "specialist" or as he puts it, the highest up on the lowest totem pole in movies. He'd been in quite a few movies including Lone Ranger and he just finished shooting Transformers 4! It was pretty cool. Conner was super intrigued.
It was even funnier when we stepped into the finance department and our finance manager was from Eastern Europe with a pretty thick accent. Conner raised his hand. "I have a question," he says, "Are you from Despicable Me?" It was so funny and adorable. Apparently, he thought everyone who worked at this car lot was a celebrity.
With a healthy family, a new niece, a new and healthy baby on the way, a new minivan, a wonderful husband and adorable children, I think I'm ready to rock 2014. Bring it.
