Well, y'all, I'm keeping up with my theme of the week and that is "let's see how many style challenges I can simultaneously pull off."  Today, of course, is the 13th so it is time for my re-re-re-remix!  Today, I am remixing the sparkly purple dress which I am also using for the Sparkle for a Day Summer Trends.

Round one of the remix is what I wore to work today.  I actually got this dress from my mom's best friend several years ago and never wore it until now.  How sad is that?  I loved it's sparkle and deep purple color, but never got around to wearing it.  So glad I did today although . . .

While everyone else in the country is experiencing a heat wave, us Coloradoans have been swallowed by storms and rain off and on throughout our days.  I thought this outfit would be perfect for the cooler temps and fine for the heat, but then--it got hotter than a mo fo!  This blazer was melting off of me.  Thank you square state!  There is a totally backwoods saying we have here that goes "if you don't like the weather in Colorado, wait ten minutes."  It sounds country, but it is totally true.

Only a fit black blazer and a wide belt could take the za za zu out of the dress and shoes to make it appropriate for work.  Passed!

For look number two,  I imagined that I was going on a date with Pat or a girl's night out.  Both of which are kind of scarce as of late due to busy schedules and lack of funds, but a girl can dream . . .

After finally wearing this dress today, I cannot believe I have not worn it before.  I let the dress take center stage with this look and it really worked out perfectly!

And, of course, I topped it off with my signature peep toe Mossimo pumps.

By the way, a little sidenote about these photos today.  A) the ootd gods must have been smiling down on me because I found this abandoned parking lot after work just calling my name.  Why, a whole parking lot all for me?  You shouldn't have!  B) I want you to realize the dedication that I have had to these challenges.  Not only have I found outfits to suit all the challenges, but I changed outfits for this shoot in the parking lot and brought the extra pieces with me to work.  That's dedication people!

Last, but not least, I have my rocker take on this dress.  This would have turned out quite nicely had it not been scorching outside.

I loved the outfit, but the booties and the leather vest came off asap.

I cannot resist twirling in skirts.  I am officially addicted to it.

Metal horns up!  Oi for beer!  Rock out with your . . . nevermind.  You get the picture.
