The miniskirt came to play in the 70s as a moment of woman empowerment that just because you wear a short skirt, that does not mean that you should be objectified as a sexual object. This seemingly minimal movement had a big impact that carries through today. Also, this particular skirt is adorable and also from a local Colorado boutique. This week, most of my looks include nearly all thrifted and/or local items from Colorado boutiques. You know, keeping with that Mother Earth loving decade we know and love as the 70s.
