Lately, I've been feeling so happy. Just in general. With life. I love that feeling. Physically, yes, I am ready to be done being pregnant. Things ache. Sleep is virtually non-existent. I can't touch about 89% of my closet (including shoes). But I've been happy. Everyday.
I think part of it is the immensely gorgeous spring weather we've been having. Today it was 75. 75!!! The sky was blue. No wind, no clouds. The grass is getting greener. The birds are chirping. It's glorious. It's walking around without layers warm.
My kids are good kids. Like really good kids. Having other kids over this weekend only confirms this fact. They listen. They're respectful. They're creative and sweet and have just the right energy. They helped clean up for and after the parties without hesitation or resistance.
My husband is the best. I think this all the time. He is kind and ambitious and amazing. Even today, I was driving to work and out of the blue I get a text: "I sure am a lucky guy." I can't wait to have this baby with him.
Everything is just coming together. And I have this constant feeling of relief. I feel like the second wind that the second trimester is infamous for is finally catching up to me energy and mood wise. And it is a really great feeling.
Another thing that has made me happy as of late was
receiving this adorable necklace from Uncommon Goods. As you can see, it has a mama bird and four
baby birds—customized by me! I chose to
review this particular necklace because a) my name is Robin—after a bird, b) my
(soon-to-be) four little birds, and c) my newest “little bird” is due on Mother’s Day. Uncommon Goods has a lot of
personalizing options for all the cute jewelry that they sell and would be a
GREAT idea for a Mother’s Day gift. The pricing
is reasonable—which is always good—and they are environmentally friendly to
boot! About one-third of all of their
merchandise is made from recycled and/or upcycled materials and most of the
products that they sell are hand-made right here in the States. They are a private run company out of
Brooklyn, New York and everything that they make is hand crafted. A big selling point for me upon research of
this company is that their lowest paid seasonal worker will still earn 50% more
than the current minimum wage. A company
that cares about the environment and their employees is a HUGE plus in my
book.
