Superman's Pajamas

Today was my kids' last day of school before winter break.  And they were to wear pajamas to school.  And they were going to watch Polar Express and have hot cocoa.  And my kids were stoked.

So I decided I would follow suit and wear something pajama-esque to work today.

Tonight we made use of our time by crafting some Christmas gifts, eating a yummy chicken pasta dinner, watching Fred Clause and sipping on Brielle's special made hot cocoa.

And currently my brother and I are trying to find out What's Eating Gilbert Grape.

I have to say, it's been an excellent way to spend a Tuesday evening.

It's kind of like the calm before the storm because as of 3 a.m., we are officially on a winter weather watch, expecting snow of various amounts and complications in the morning.

So I had to soak up what could be the last day for a long time sans coat in my autumnal layers.  And soak it up I did.  It was truly beautiful day.

Just another beautiful thing about today?  Getting photo bombed by two adorable boys right before a fire truck with its siren on totally made their day.

That's the amazing thing about kids.  A cup of hot cocoa, a blaring siren, Sharpie's on coffee mugs and a movie about elves making toys makes all the difference in their day.

And doing all of it in pajamas doesn't hurt either.
