Express Yourself

Playing some Madonna in honor of her birthday.  Thanks Angie for reminding me!
Pat needed new jeans.  This always works out well for me since I can always convince him to use my Kohl's card/coupons/cash.  And, of course, I get to pick something out for myself for services rendered.  This go round, I picked this lovely dress.  I himmed and hawed over it for a good forty minutes or so because it was on clearance, but much more than I normally spend on a dress.  It was $20.  Pricey!

I also got to wear some of my new favorite pairs of shoes (still from the shoe haul a week or so ago).  They have the BCBG logo all up and through those mo's.  I am usually not a label whore, but these just look so darn special!

This weekend and today went so much smoother than Friday.  Thank you all for your genuine thoughts.  My CD player still doesn't work, so I have to be uber ghetto and pull the ole "one earbud in one earbud out IPod trick" but at least it's something.

I wish I would've had time to photograph my outfit on Saturday.  It was really cute, but we were swamped with stuff, so I didn't get time to take pictures.  Don't worry, I'll def wear it again one day for you.

On Saturday, Kaden had football practice, then my little brother had a birthday dinner (yep another one for those who are counting) at my mom's house.  Then, Pat and I went to see our favorite local band, Avidity to End.  I have known these guys foreva-eva and not only are they swell guys, but they can rock the eff out!

Quick tidbit of info for you, this bag I also got last night.  It was $8.  EIGHT DOLLARS!!!!  How could I say no to that?

Then, we went up to visit one of my oldest friends and one of my oldest friends' sister for their 30th birthdays.  Happy birthday Dylan and Lindsey!

Peggy totally dug my dress.  She said that I looked like a flower today.  How sweet of her!  And I am wearing a belt that Pat dared me to wear 'cause it's his.  Love over fashion, people.  Love over fashion.

  10. Oh no you didn't go hiking in heels?!

I'm afraid to know how old Madge is today because she's getting up there, which means I'm not getting any younger. Shoot, her daughter is almost a grown woman now!
