Are You Ready for Some FOOTBALL?!?!?!
Music Playlist at MixPod.com
Today was my son's first football game. It was truly the first football game I've ever watched. I didn't understand a thing about what was going on, but I'm trying to learn. Mostly I was watching to make sure my son didn't get hurt. And btw is it necessary to YELL so much in football? Jeez!
It was so freaking hot today that I felt like my back was sweating off of my body. Sad story, I ripped a whole in my only white tee while trying to get it not to stick to my back. Nasty and sad at the same time.
I am continually amazed at the little trinkets and treasures I keep finding in the jewelry box my mom gave me from my Grandma. She gave me another one on Thursday. More stuff to play with YAY!!!!!! This is actually one bracelet. Was my Grandma stylish or what???
So after (and I mean directly after) I had my football lesson (Kaden was fine btw), I headed over to drop Kaden off at his tutoring end of the summer party. That is where I wondered over to this great little park next to where he was at the party.
Plus side to the 1264 degree weather? Getting some last minute color on my stems. Btw every time I hear of legs referred to as "stems" I think of Cher on Clueless. Btw, I think I have used the "btw" about 156156 times in this post.
Weirdest park statue I've ever seen? This creepy little giraffe in women's clothing sitting on the bench. I couldn't tell if she was whispering sweet nothings in my ear, giving me a kiss or about to eat my flesh off. You decide.

Digging the pattern mixing you've got going on in this post. That skirt is super cute, I bet you'll find a million ways to wear it into fall. Pleated skirts are on my list of must haves for fall. Congrats on your son's first football game, he's lucky to have such a stylish fan cheering him on!
ReplyDeleteI was just talking about how I feel like I shouldn't still be getting this much sun in the last days of August, but it is FAR too hot to even think about wearing pants yet. Cooler temperatures forecasted for next week though, thankfully! I just hope we get a good fall and don't go straight into winter, I'm not ready for any of that business.
ReplyDeleteThat statue is so bizarre. Is that in Longmont or Boulder?
I love that bracelet! Your mom has scored you some awesome finds recently! Your grandma must have had very good taste.
Haha first football game!1 I love it! I have to say I watched when I was in highschool because I was in the marching band and went to so many football games, and now I just watch Steeler games. It would be fun to go to a live football game again!

I can't believe it's football season already! Crazy! I'm sure you'll catch on to the rules and get into the vibe and (even the yelling) of the game very soon!
ReplyDeleteI love your skirt!
What an adorable skirt! Congrats on your youngin' getting out there and playing ball (and congrats on you supporting him!). Lol that giraffe is AMAZING. It's so creepy, but cool at the same time. Stay cool out there. It's bound to ease up.

ReplyDeleteAllie, I TOTALLY hear you. I think CO has two seasons that last more than a week, blazing hot summer and freezing slushy winter.
ReplyDeleteThis statue is in Longmont near where the ice rink is off Coffman and 5th (maybe . . .) It totally creeped me out.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment!
I am slowly getting the hang of it. No matter that my five year old niece knows more about the plays and rules than I do. LOL Thanks Shasie!
