Deafening Silence

You guys, today was bullshit.  If you follow me on Twitter, you might have already got the gist.  Basically, Friday kicked my ass.  It all started with my hair straightener freaking out on me and leaving me with frizzy waves all day.

My CD player in my car has been on the blink for a few weeks now.  First the forward button stopped working so I could only use the back one.  Today, I was trying to skip by "Teenage Wasteland" (I have musical ADD) when my CD player died suddenly.  There was no resuscitating it.

Driving without music is petrifying.  All the little squeaks my car makes that I never noticed, all the squeaks other cars make that I never noticed, having nothing to listen to but the road, having nothing to do with my ADD while driving around (which was a LOT of driving today).

Had to go to the Court today (twice) to pick up documents.  The first time, I was stuck in traffic forever because someone's car died in the middle of an intersection and I had to turn around and jet back to work because my notary assistance was suddenly needed (I still love you Peggy).  The second time, I got there just as the records department closed.

Had some other errands to run for the office like going to the bank and to the store.  I had to pick up my younger kids at their dad's after work, so I took an opportunity running around to take some outfit shots.  All the parks I had in mind were inaccessible to park in because Boulder is an asshole (go ahead and try to make a left hand turn anywhere in this town), so I had to pay for 12 minutes of parking to take these shots by some random building.  Got back to work, got chilled with the A/C, went to turn on my trusty space heater and it blew up.  What has two thumbs and is ready for a weekend?  This girl!

  1. Love the sheer black top. Sorry to hear about your day. It always seems like things hit all at once, yeah? Bad things come in threes so I think you're done for the day, here's sending some good karma your day.
