Mission #29, Day 5--Graphic Sweatshirt

This last Mission Week look is a casual fun one. I am not one for brand name bandwagons. I often don't even know about department store collaborations until I see them everywhere on blogs after the fact.

But the minute that I saw this sweatshirt, I knew I wanted one. It didn't even make sense! I'm not much of a "cool nerd." You know how it's all the rage these days to be overly into Spiderman or Batman or comic book sci-fi stuff? I'm . . . not.

But maybe it was the bright colors. Maybe it was the vintage-y vibe of the wording. Maybe it was the fact that I was newly pregnant and looking for pieces I could wear well into the pregnancy with little issue.

Whatever it was, I did end up stalking this little guy in two different Targets until I found one in a small (good call on getting your normal size when you plan to wear it through pregnancy, Robin) and brought it home with me.

And with me it has been. Every time I need to grab something quick, 9 times out of 10, I reach for this sweatshirt. And it actually has worked with my ever growing belly.

Boom.

Mission #29, Day 4--Jeweled Sweatshirt

Yet another dressier spin on the sweatshirt look for Mission Week is one that is dolled up with a jeweled collar and paired with a lacy pencil skirt (or a dress that looks like a pencil skirt) and some feminine kitten heels.

On this day, I chose a recently abandoned Olive Garden as a photo location. I haven't eaten at an OG in foreeeeever, but I was kind of excited to learn that had closed because I thought it would make a fun photo spot and is pretty secluded.

And while the lighting was sketchy, it actually did end up being fairly successful. No one bothered me and I liked the bricks and columns as props.

But there was something amiss that you don't see in these photos. As I was posing and clicking away, I saw something . . . strange.

Several disposable razors. Grouped together. Different brands of disposable razors. I don't even want to know . . .

Mission #29, Day 3--Sequined Sweatshirt

One great way to style up a sweatshirt is by choosing a pretty sweatshirt from the get-go, like this sequined one from Old Navy. It was going to make a great addition to Mission Week.

Yesterday morning I attended a special breakfast and award ceremony for my daughter, who had received an Academic All-Star Award for the second trimester in a row.

And, of course, it gave my whacked out body just another reason to cry spontaneously. Just as I did with the dancing children.

And just as I did a few weekend mornings ago when Patrick showed me this video:

I'm not a crier. This is weird. But apparently, these days, it doesn't take much to make my eyes water.
