Great Lengths

I'm a get 'er done kinda chica.  So now that I have fully mastered the IDGAS mentality of taking self portraits out in public (well, almost), it got me thinking . . . I need something new . . .   I tried all the standard poses . . .

The "oh, I didn't realize you were sneaking up behind me whilst I was lost in sovereignty" pose . . .

The "I don't need no stinking wind to make my skirt twirl around" pose . . .

And even the "look at this cool piece of something that I can pose in front of and just look like an excited exchange student or tourist of a small suburb when I stand in front of it" pose.  But it wasn't enough . . .

And that's when I randomly decided that I would show my dedication to my blog and my readers by standing on random ish around this random park.  Like a park bench . . .

And a big rock in this randomly placed big rock garden that looks like someone was attempting to recreate the Stone Henge right here in Longmont, Coloradie . . .

And a ginormous piece of driftwood (which my heel got stuck in in this exact shot).

Oh, yes my lovely little readers.  My love for you knows no bounds.  I am willing to get real risky.  You can thank me later.  ;-)

I Run To You

Not much to say today.  Oh, except that I want to go all sixth grade crush on you and gush over how amazing my mans is.

He is there to listen, to help problem solve, to encourage, to mourn with, to bitch with, to cuddle with and for a shoulder to lean on.

He really respects and appreciates me.  When I bleed, he bleeds.  It's really nothing that I have ever experienced and just like Mickey D's--I'm lovin it.

Note to self (and other Coloradoans), apparently fishing is really big here.  I took these shots at Cattail Pond in Longmont.  It was a beautiful evening for a stroll around.  And apparently everyone else agreed cause peeps were coming out of bushes, literally, as soon as I pulled out the ole 'pod.  But, I was erring on the side of "yeah, I'm taking my freaking picture, move on" rather than "um, I'm just doing a project on wild geese . . ."

And now my best attempt at the adorable A Reason To Be Fabulous pose . . .

I am PregNOOOOT. I Repeat, this is NOT a Baby Bump!!!!

First and foremost, in some of these pictures, like the one below, I totally look preggers. Let this serve as a public service announcement that I am not pregnant. Or planning on getting pregnant. This skirt fits really weird.  Not to mention, I've had three bebes, so . . . I guess it comes with the territory.

For this BAMF outfit, I felt I needed to forgo the wilderness nature backdrop and get a little more industrial. So, I found this high school on my way home. It was perfectly abandoned. Remember summer vacation from high school? There was no freaking way I'd find any students in, on or around this place in the summer. Ah, the freedom.

I felt a little dressy today. Maybe too dressy. I kept hearing that I looked like I had somewhere important to go after work. And I did . . .

NOT A GOT DANG PLACE!!!  For the first time that I can remember this summer, I did not have any obligations after work.  No tutoring, no baseball game or practice, no outstanding errands to run or things to do.  Bliss.

Funny story. A client came in today and was waiting to speak to an attorney in my office.  She commented on how nice I looked.  I said thank you.  About ten minutes later, I was walking down the stairs, missed a step and almost fell down the stairs right in front of said client.  Luckily I caught myself.  My leg was a little sore, but all I ended up hurting was my pride.  Wa waaaaa . . . .
