Vedette Review and A GIVEAWAY!!!

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by Vedette, an online shapewear company.  They very kindly offered to send me two of their pieces to review.  The challenge to one of them was to style the piece as lingerie as outerwear.  Let's begin.

So, I pretty much fell in love with the Viveka.  With my request, I sent over my exact measurements and I was not disappointed when it arrived.  It's just so . . . PRETTY!  I love the red and the lace.

The back, of course, laces up corset style and there are also detachable pieces to attach to stockings.  Added bonus--I actually seem like I have a chest with this beauty!

So, even though this is not something I would ever, ever wear to the office, I could see getting off of work and wearing this sans the blazer out for drinks with the ladies or maybe even with some jeans.

I dressed it up with a clutch that my mom got me for Mother's Day.  I love it, though I never get an excuse to use a clutch.  I like how the green goes with the red of the bodysuit . . . without being all Christmasy.

It was fortunate that I found heels in the perfect shade of red to compliment the bodysuit.

It's hard as a smaller chested woman sometimes to find a decent bra or other lingerie that makes you feel sexy.  With this piece, I felt so  . . . womanly!

Vedette believes that moms should be able to treat themselves with their beautiful pieces for something that makes you look as great as you feel!

I can attest as a mom, you go through a lot.  Your body changes, your schedule is limited (yet full at the same time) and your ability to treat yourself goes way down on the priority list.  It's nice to have something that I normally wouldn't think to treat myself with.  A very pleasant surprise (for me . . . and Patrick liked it too, so that's a bonus!) indeed.

The second piece that I am reviewing is the Francesca, of course.  It is actually part of their Sensusale collection.  You won't see it in these photos, but below you can see how it really does help to shape your body.

Here are my thoughts on the Francesca: it is a beautiful piece and once it was on, I felt sexy in it.  As a mother of three, I may be fairly small, but I did indeed notice a difference in how it really helped to give my body that hourglass figure.

Here is my only complaint with the Francesca--while it fit well once I got it on, it was quite the process to . . . get it on.  The only way to fasten or button the piece is in the crouch, so it has to go over the head or up the legs like pants.

Well it wouldn't fit pulling it up like pants.  And it definitely got stuck when I tried to pull it down like a shirt.  In fact, I had to bring Patrick in to help me get in and out of the bodysuit.  So putting it on by myself was totally out of the question.

But, as I said, once it was on, I liked it a lot.  It was especially fun to wear something so sexy under something  so casual.  Not to mention, it really gave my sweatpants and tank more shape.

So here is the good news for all y'all, Vedette is allowing me to host a giveaway for them!!!  And guess what?  3 of you will be winners!!!
